Deputies kill dog that bit six-year old

Posted on October 3rd, 2012 No Comments

Stockbridge Township deputies shot and killed a dog Sunday morning after they say it bared its teeth and charged at them. According to WILX, the authorities were called to a home after a six year-old boy was bitten by the dog.

Upon arriving at the home, the child’s grandmother told them where he was when he was bitten. Deputies found the dog on the loose. It was at this time that the dog began acting aggressively towards them.

The dog’s owner reportedly said he was upset over the death of his dog but understood why the officers had to shoot it. The dog had no prior history of aggression or attacks.
