Deputy Bitten by a Pit Bull during Meth Lab Bust

Posted on February 11th, 2013 No Comments

A deputy was attacked by a pit bull while raiding a home suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine at the 17000 block of 15 Mile Road in Marshall Township, Minnesota on Wednesday, January 30.

A pit bull bit the deputy in the arm while officers were conducting a meth lab bust and was treated at Oaklawn Hospital. Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office executed a search after a tip was given that the house was producing meth. The home and suspected meth lab is owned by a 48-year-old man, who share the home with two adult women and a 3-year-old child.

At the time of the search, no arrests were made and the investigation was still underway; however, deputies will be seeking an arrest warrant for the homeowner for methamphetamine charges.
