Dog faces being put down after biting girl

Posted on August 17th, 2011 No Comments

The 84-year-old owner of a Labrador dog who jumped on and bit a 5-year-old girl last December is pleading that his companion be spared from a court order to put the dog down.

According to the dog’s owner, the incident occurred when a neighbor came into his house to use the telephone. The dog got out when the neighbor left the door open. Not much is known as to what prompted the Lab to jump on and bite the little girl.

The World War II veteran has said that his dog has become his companion since his wife passed away 20 years ago. He is pleading for the court to spare his beloved Levi’s life. A decision will be made on Thursday.
