Dog lovers flock to rally to save three pit bulls

Posted on August 1st, 2011 No Comments

Three pit bulls that were seized from a house during an alleged dog fight operation and are now being condemned, have gathered support from dog lovers. The supporters came together at a rally to promote the right to life for the animals.

The protesters were speaking to the justice system, Monroe County Animal Control, the judge overseeing the case, and witnesses. It was decided in court that the dogs should be put down because they are dangerous and do not provide any use for the public.

Many are protesting that the dogs should be given a second chance. Supporters are also confused about why they will not let the dogs go to willing owners because it is costing thousands of dollars in taxpayer’s money to house them at animal control.
