Posted on July 25th, 2011 No Comments

A lawsuit has been filed after a police dog bit a man. It was decided that the city will pay $90,000 to the man in the settlement.

The incident occurred in May 2008 when police were searching for two suspects that allegedly stole a motorcycle. A 31-year-old man was parking his work van when he saw two police officers.

The police officer allegedly let the dog go by mistake and he attacked he man. He was knocked to the ground and bitten twice. The man was released after he was attacked and police did not arrest the alleged suspects.  The settlement was approved last week.
