Man faces felony charges for allowing his dog to attack

Posted on November 7th, 2012 No Comments

A man from the Franklin Township area is currently facing felony charges for allegedly allowing his dog to attack people as they walked past his home.

The 42-year-old man lives off of Collier Highway near Evans Lake and he was recently investigated by the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department after a woman was bitten on the property on June 15.

Along with this claim, two others have stated that they were also bitten by the man’s dog since last November. Two of these victims required hospital care for the treatment of their wounds. The man was charged with keeping a dangerous animal that was known to cause injury. The man faces up to four years in prison for this charge. The dog is a mix between a rottweiler and a husky.
