Pit bull now quarantined after biting three children

Posted on September 21st, 2011 No Comments

A Pit bull is now being quarantined after biting three children. He is being held for 10 days in order to make sure that he does not have rabies.

The incident occurred last Friday at about 6:30 p.m. when the dog was accidentally let out of the house. Three children, ages 11 and 13, were all transported to the hospital in order to be treated for their injuries.

The owner said that the dog is not up to date with his rabies shot or other immunizations. If the owners do not want the dog anymore, they can sign him over to the city and he will probably be euthanized.
