Rooster attacks visitors at cemetery

Posted on May 15th, 2012 No Comments

An 83 year-old woman was not seriously hurt after a rooster attacked her while visiting the grave of a loved one at Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township last week. The rooster drew blood after attacking her lower leg.

This is not the first time the rooster has gone after cemetery visitors. The Township supervisor claims she was attacked by the same rooster a few weeks ago when she went to check on a grave site.

Two roosters were loose at the cemetery, but only one attacked. Their owner was found next door and was able to catch both birds. The attacking rooster will spend ten days in quarantine.
