Toddler in critical condition after pit bull attack

Posted on April 10th, 2012 No Comments

A three year-old Arkansas boy was flown to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in critical condition last week after the family’s pit bull attacked him. According to his mother, the child was in the front yard when their dog became violent.

The toddler sustained severe trauma and lacerations around his face and head. He was immediately taken into surgery after arriving at the hospital.

Authorities say the mother adopted the pit bull from the Humane Society in early March. The Humane Society has a strict policy of not adopting pit bull terriers to families with young children, but the mother said she didn’t have children when filing out her paperwork.
