Woman attacked by 400-pound black bear in Michigan

Posted on August 3rd, 2011 No Comments

A woman from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan discussed her attack by a 400- pound black bear that was in captivity.

The woman was feeding a bear when another neighbor’s bear came and attacked her. She escaped by putting a water bucket on its head during the attack so he could not see. This gave her just enough time to escape the fenced-in area and run to her car.

The bear that she was feeding before the attack also escaped and she was shot by a trooper. The woman fed the bears for years without any problems and officials found that the owners did have the right license to have the bear.
