Woman sentenced after dog bites child

Posted on September 1st, 2011 No Comments

A woman was sentenced after her dog bit a 7-year-old child last week in Flint, Michigan.

According to the child’s mother, her son was playing on a playground around 5:30 p.m. when an 11-year-old arrived at the playground with an Australian Shepard. The dog then growled at the children and the 11-year-old allegedly warned the other kids to stay away.

Reports show that the 7-year-old boy did not listen and he attempted to pet the dog. The boy was bitten in his face, his right rib cage and right arm. The woman was charged with not having control over a dog that was in heat, not having the dog on a leash and keeping a vicious dog.
